About Hauser Hill Farms
We are a traditional open air farm stand located on our home farm in Old Bridge Township, Middlesex County. Hauser Hill Farms is a five generation farm operating on the same land for 150 years. We grow all types of fruits and vegetables from Apples to Zucchini, along with some grain and fresh eggs from our free range chickens. In the spring, we feature lots of fresh homegrown produce like asparagus, many varieties of lettuce, and strawberries. All summer we pick delicious fruit like plums, peaches, donut peaches, nectarines and much, much more. In the fall, we feature our homemade apple cider, pumpkins, apples, cornstalks and straw. Please come out and see us!
Organic vs. Conventional Farming
We are a conventional farm, and we do use pesticides. However, we are also a part of the IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Program run through Rutgers University. Every week a scout visits the farm from Rutgers and makes recommendations about spray application. EVERY farmer, whether certified organic or conventional, uses spray. The only difference is the arsenal the farmer uses. What is most important is that you know your farmer and his or her practices, and that you know where your food comes from.
